Darüber hinaus in der Natur auch die Radioisotop180W für, das hier halbes Leben ab 1,8 BillionJahr Besitz. Es ist auch ein primordiales Radionuklid. Die restlichen 29 Radioisotope sind instabil und haben relativ kurze Halbwertszeiten (die meisten weniger als eine halbe Stunde).
Das kurzlebige Isotop von Wolfram ist 158W, mit einer Halbwertszeit von etwa 1,37 Millisekunden. Die langlebigste ist 180W, mit einer Halbwertszeit von 1,8 Billionen Jahren.
